Everything you should know about

Keelan Thomas

I I grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in a small ski town called Winter Park. I’ve always loved art and followed in my dad’s creative footsteps—he taught me how to draw, and we quickly realized I had a knack for it. For a long time, though, it was just a hobby.

After high school I took a gap year, living in England for six months and Austria for three, studying the Bible and theology through a program called Torchbearers. While overseas, people began asking me to do small graphic projects, and before I knew it, design had become my thing.

I was pretty set against college and planned to pursue real estate back home, but life took an unexpected turn and I found myself at Baylor as a Graphic Design major. Since then, design has been full steam ahead. Baylor may not have every resource, but the passion within our small cohort is unmatched—and it’s led to dozens of awards, some of which I’ve been grateful to receive.

I’m not sure exactly where design will take me, but I’m eager to keep learning. What I love most about design is the way it opens doors—across disciplines, cultures, and people. Getting to help translate someone’s thoughts or feelings into something tangible is deeply fulfilling to me. It’s work rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and connection, and that’s what continues to draw me in.
